Bank Barn Renovation Update: Part III
Here are a few more photos of the progress underway at the bank barn adaptive reuse project in Ohio.
This one shows the almost finished slate, shingle roofing a bit closer so you can see the detail in the pattern. Notice all the beautiful evergreens–the property is a former Christmas tree farm.
The three-tiered cribbing will showcase the green views that extend for miles.
The radiant heating along the floor.

I can imagine it will absolutely breathtaking when it is done. I’m imagining all the light streaming in through those windows..heaven!!
I am a wedding planner and wondering where this is at? Its so pretty!
Hi Karie,
Thanks for the compliments. I’m looking forward to seeing the final package as the project wraps up in the next few months. I’ve heard that party barns are becoming a popular place for wedding receptions. I’m biased, but I think it’s a great idea. However, this particular barn is privately owned and will serve as a home-away-from-home and a guest house for the owners and their friends and family. A project I did some years ago called The Granary at Meadow Lane Lodge & Cottages is a barn converted into lodging. It’s significantly smaller than the Ohio bank barn, but there’s lots of other cottages and lodging on the property– you may want to check it out. It’s in Warm Springs, Virginia.
